About

The "Military Lady" was a nick-name a friend gave me. I have always loved and respected the military. I am the daughter of a Navy man and grew up with politics, history, and a great love of country. I'm now 25 years old and as the years have passed the desire to be a part of something great and honorable has grown even bigger.

After serving a mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints from 2006-2007 I had the desire to start training to enter a branch of the military by my 26th birthday (if other things in life hadn't happened yet) In order to do this I needed to become physically, mentally, and spiritually prepared for the life ahead of me through smaller goals. I knew the bigger ones were to
1) Prepare To Pass ASVABS Test
2) Become Physically Prepared
3) Pick an MOS - Specialty
4) Pick A Branch

And even those could be broken down farther.

As far as becoming physically prepared, I've decided to use the military's guidelines combined with a healthy life style to reach these goals. I will be posting things I find and even commenting on the changes I'm making. Please follow along with me through the ups and downs that this journey will take me on. It wont be easy, but it'll be worth it!

This is me as of 3 July 2010.
Military guidelines state that someone of my height (5'7") must weigh the average of 165. I've got 50lbs to lose. (Please watch the sliding bar at the top of this blog for updated numbers)
